(antiMusic) Dave Mustaine is hoping to give Ozzy a run for his money this summer. The outspoken Megadeth frontman has outlined plans for the inaugural "Gigantour" which will not only feature headliners Megadeth and Dream Theater but also an impressive array of metal artists on two stages.
The mainstage will be rounded out by Fear Factory, Dillinger Escape Plan and Nevermore with a second stage featuring Life of Agony, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic and Bobaflex.
Fans won't have to spend an arm and leg to bang their heads either, as standard tickets are reportedly priced at around $35 each. Deeper pockets can obtain premium seats.
The action will also be captured by director Michael Sarna for a future DVD release that will include performance footage as well as behind-the-scenes action.
At press time the tour is set to kick off on July 21st at Selland Arena in Fresno and conclude on September 3rd in Toronto.
