According to the magazine, DiCaprio was partying at the home of Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon at about 4 a.m. Friday when an uninvited woman reportedly struck him in the head with a beer bottle. People reports that friends of the actor took him to the hospital where he required a dozen stitches near his ear.

DiCaprio publicist, Ken Sunshine, released the following statement to People, "While leaving a small private gathering, Leo was attacked by a woman who was trespassing and had been repeatedly asked to leave the property. The attacker struck him with a glass object before being restrained by witnesses. The woman was reportedly looking for an ex-boyfriend, who she had apparently physically assaulted on prior occasions."
