(antiMusic) Avril Lavigne has found her Sk8er Boi and she plans to keep him. Lavigne is now engaged to Deryck Whibley, frontman for the ponk group Sum 41. The Canadian pop-rockers became engaged this past weekend in Europe, according to published reports. No word yet on when the "Complicated" nuptials will take place. A spokesperson for Avril would just confirm the engagement to Reuters. "Right now, they're just confirming the engagement," Pamela Murphy told the wire service. Avril is currently in Europe touring in support of his latest album "Under My Skin," she is set kick off the North American leg of the tour next month. Sum 41 will head over to Europe in early July to support their latest "Chuck" before returning to North America in late July to act as support for the next leg of Motley Crue's reunion tour. Hopefully for the ponk couple it all ends in a "happy ending". That was our final pun for this article.
