and Family Say Goodbye to Hunter S Thompson

(antiTainment) In keeping with his wishes,
friends and family gathered Saturday night at a luxury hotel in Aspen for
a private party to say goodbye to "gonzo" journalist Hunter S Thompson.
Johnny Depp, who portrayed Thompson in
the film adaptation of "Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas" and actor John
Cusack were among the friends that attended the party at the Hotel Jerome.
A few blocks away at the Belly Up, where
Thompson's family originally planed to hold the party, the band The Radiators
dedicated their set to Thompson, reports 9news.com.
The legendary counter-culture journalist
took his own life on February 20th in his Colorado home. He was 67.
