(antiMUSIC) Rod Price of 70s rock band Foghat died on Tuesday (March 22nd) after falling down the stairs in his home.

Price was the man behind some of Foghat's most memorial riffs including the radio staples 'Fool For The City' and 'Slow Ride'. This is second death in the Foghat family. Guitarist/vocalist "Lonesome" Dave Peverett died of cancer in February of 2000.

BraveWords.com Posted the following press release from Foghat drummer Roger Earl:  We sadly have to tell you that Rod Price, our original, fantastic guitarist passed away yesterday (March 22nd). He tripped and fell down the stairs in his home and died instantly. We are so saddened and shocked at this great loss. We have spoken to his wife Jackie, and she has asked us to let everyone know.

I just spoke to his son's coach up in New Hampshire. She said that she has coached Rory since he was 4 (he is now 9)and Rod never missed a game. She said he was a great Dad! They are planning to build a new baseball field in honor of Rod.
