Scum of the Tour

(press release) Scum of the Earth, the monstrous new breakout band fronted by ex-Rob Zombie guitarist Riggs, announced today they will set out on tour in support of their Eclipse Records debut album "Blah...Blah...Blah... Love Songs for the New Millennium." Riggs and his Scum will kick off their nationwide tour on June 14, in Springfield, Missouri and they are set to run through the summer.

Highlighted as a "Band to watch in 2005," by Metal Edge Magazine, Scum of the Earth features the artistic vision of Riggs, whose penchant for horror, comics, and wild imagery drove him to madness long before his days of working with Rob Zombie. Combining the macabre with a touch of twisted cartoonish humor, his technicolor musical vision appalls assaults and engages. KNAC called it "devastating techno-sludge, complete with gritty morbid lyrics, haunting samples and sleaze galore!" Having joined forces with renown horror artist Eric Pigors for the stage design and some of the CD's art, Riggs and his Scum of the Earth deliver a multi-sensory experience. Lending additional ghoulish visuals to the CD are Dan Brereton and Dave Cook.

The band's upcoming live shows will be loaded with all the highlights that Scum fans would come to expect; blood-sucking freak show theatrics, accompanied by an explosive storm of heavy music with an electrified infectious beat.
