Although Stone may recreate the scene later in film with an officer jumping out of a grassy knoll with a gun shouting "Say hello to my little friend", Stone was actually arrested by Beverly Hills police around 11:45 p.m. Friday after being pulled over at a police checkpoint on Sunset Blvd.
The Oscar-winning director failed a Breathalyzer test and police found an unspecified drug(s) in Stone's Mercedes. Police arrested him for drug possession and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. Stone Posted a $15,000 bond and was released from jail around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Beverly Hills police spokesman, Sgt. John Edmundson, did not name the drug(s) found in Stone's vehicle, but press reports indicate that it was in pill form and that tests are being performed to identify the pills.
In 1999, Stone was arrested for driving under the influence and drug possession after hashish was found in his vehicle. He was ordered to take part in a rehabilitation program as part of a plea agreement.
