(MSO) UNDEROATH have announced they’ll team up for the “COME & LIVE WITH UNDEROATH, mewithoutyou, THE CHARIOT and AS CITIES BURN” mini-tour in December. The tour will benefit the *Habitat For Humanity, *Invisible Children, *Teen Challenge and *Samaritans Purse charities. All four bands--part of the Tooth and Nail and Solid State family of labels--will donate proceeds generated from the shows to these charities. In addition, Brandon Ebel president/CEO of Tooth and Nail Records will match every dollar raised from the shows.UNDEROATH guitarist Tim McTague explains, “We’ve all been looking for multiple ways to give back, but since we’ve all been on the road we’ve been unable to make an impact. For these shows, each of us--mewithoutyou, The Chariot, As Cities Burn and Underoath--got together and chose our own charity to donate to. There are so many worthwhile causes out there--we’re glad we can all make a difference to a few that are important to us.”
UNDEROATH’s CD/DVD reissue of their breakout THEY’RE ONLY CHASING SAFETY (Tooth and Nail) album recently debuted at #1 on Billboard magazine’s “Top Heatseekers” chart (10/8/05)--and spent two weeks at #1--marking the first #1 debut for the band. The Florida based rock group--known for their “streamlined mix of punk, metal and emo that's undeniably melodic and catchy” (Tampa Tribune, 5/2005)--are currently on the road with Thrice, The Bled and Veda. In addition, UNDEROATH will headline a one-off show Sunday, November 13 in Chicago, IL for Flower 15 which will benefit the P.L.A.Y. (Possibilities in Life: Art for Youth) organization in Chicago.
In late December, UNDEROATH will head back into the studio to work with producer Matt Goldman (Copeland, Cartel) as well as Adam Dutkiewicz (guitarist for Killswitch Engage) and put the finishing touches on their new album, expected summer 2006.
