(Press Release) After a summer jaunt across the US and Canada with Eighteen Visions and a select number of Warped Tour '05 dates, The Black Maria land the support slot for this summer's anticipated Chevelle / Taproot tour, going across the U.S. through the end of October. With a 'breaking and entering' feature in Billboard, features in Alternative Press and Revolver and a #24 debut on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, The Black Maria rise up like a phoenix from the ashes of Grade, Zyon and New Day Rising and present their latest album, "Lead Us To Reason". While each member of the band has a long history of success in music - The Black Maria has nothing to do with those stories, rather it is a group vision, evolving in the process of invention, and it is a story all its own. With evocative lyrics and a gorgeous, layered musical framework, their music defies category, walking the razor edge of genre toward their own precise statement. The Black Maria's tour alongside Chevelle and Taproot kicks off in Bakersfield, CA. on Sept. 12 and continues through the US ending in Louisville, KY on Oct. 21.
