(PR) Modern Drummer, the world's first and most popular magazine for drummers and percussionists, has scheduled the Modern Drummer Festival Weekend 2006 for September 16-17 at Prudential Hall at NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center) in Newark, New Jersey. Shows begin at 1:00 p.m. each day.

Special guest artists confirmed to take part in the event at this time include The Police's Stewart Copeland, Steve Smith (Journey, Vital Information), Brann Dailor (Mastodon), Mike Mangini (Steve Vai), Thomas Lang, Teddy Campbell (American Idol), Chicago's Danny Seraphine, and many others.
