(PR) Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) announced plans today to launch Los Angeles-based band Low Stars as the third artist featured in the Company's innovative Starbucks Hear Music Debut CD series, a proprietary series created to introduce Starbucks customers to new and developing artists. Low Stars self-titled debut album will be available exclusively at Starbucks Company-operated locations in the U.S. and Canada beginning February 15, 2007. Today's announcement furthers Starbucks steadfast commitment to extending its Entertainment initiative and transforming the way music is discovered and acquired.Low Stars join previous Starbucks Hear Music Debut artists Antigone Rising and Sonya Kitchell whose debut albums were introduced through the Starbucks Entertainment program and combined have sold more than 210,000 copies in the U.S.
