(Press Release) Drive-Thru Records’ recording artist, ALLISTER is hitting the blacktop for a 29-date tour with Mest and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. The tour debuts January 31st in Grand Rapids and ends in ALLISTER’S hometown of Chicago in March. The band recently released their third full-length Before The Blackout on October 11, 2005. ALLISTER is known for their demonstrable commitment to the DIY ethics of punk by fellow musicians and fans alike. The 10 year-old band’s latest, Before The Blackout incorporates sing-along melodies, break neck chord changes, and witty and sentimental lyrics, all elements that have cemented ALLISTER as a stand out act in the punk rock scene. “A Study In Economics” is quintessential ALLISTER, while tracks like the heavier “Blackout” and the edgier “Waiting” demonstrates the band’s growth, musically and personally. Their sophomore album, Last Stop Suburbia has sold 80k copies to date. Earlier this year, ALLISTER visited one of their favorite touring destinations, Japan, for a week of dates and the band will perform at the 2006 Drive-Thru Records SXSW Showcase at Emo’s on March 17th.
