(PR) Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its wholly owned Eagle Vision subsidiary, is proud to announce the release of singer/songwriter/activist Steve Earle Live At Montreux 2005, on CD July 11 and DVD August 22.

Armed with just his trusty guitar, harmonica and the kind of passionate and rebellious wit that has fueled such political animals as Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan, the performance includes material from his 1988 Copperhead Road breakthrough on into the present with such tracks as "Jerusalem," "Rich Man's War," "South Nashville Blues," "Ellis Unit One" and "The Revolution Starts Now." Also included are his love poem to the American Secretary Of State ("Condi Condi") and the hard-hitting "Christmas In Washington" (which is not about Christmas or Washington).

Filled with Earle's charismatic jocularity, outspoken bluntness and righteous indignation, the 14 songs are imbued with the kind of earnest reflection and world-weary philosophy that only an artist of this stature could pull off. Live At Montreux 2005 shows an important artist at the top of his game.
