(PR) Los Angeles-based quintet Particle are gearing up to storm the U.S. with newly announced tour dates and the joint release of the Transformations Live DVD and double live CD Transformations Live: For The People due in stores from Shout! Factory/Sony on July 18.The tour is highlighted by performances at Milwaukees Summerfest in July, Lollapalooza in Chicago and San Diegos Street Scene in August and Seattles annual Bumbershoot in September. Particle will team up with the UKs jam pioneers Ozric Tentacles in July for a handful of shows including a CD/DVD release party at The Fillmore in San Francisco on July 15. Particle also plans to reunite with Mickey Hart at this years Summerfest for a special set of music billed as Mickey Hart and Friends on July 5.
The group debuted its revamped line up earlier in the year, adding fresh textures and depth to its already unique sound. Particles Eric Gould, Steve Molitz, and Darren Pujalet brought on new guitarists Scott Metzger and Ben Combe this past February and the band has since filmed a DVD and toured relentlessly across the country. They have also released a spring tour sampler on their website and a handful of recent shows via www.livedownloads.com.
