(antiMusic) This year's American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee confessed to People Magazine that she struggled for years with bulimia. A disorder that not only threatened her life, but also her vocal chords.
She said that it got so bad that she was vomiting up to seven times a day which was like "putting a sledgehammer to your vocal cords," McPhee said in the interview.
The 22 year-old singer told People in an interview published on their website Thursday that she finally sought help after he successful American Idol audition and took part in an intensive three month program at an eating disorder center in Los Angeles.
