The 33 year-old band elder said, "It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life."
Being one 33 year-old boy down won't stop the other "boys" from carrying on as they entered a studio this weekend to record a new album. But they did bid farewell to Richardson, "The door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors," they said on their site. Sad days indeed.
