Static-X Week: Inside Destroyer

. (Day in Rock) We continue our Static-X special today with Wayne telling us a bit about "Destroyer," the first single from the new CD. Here is Wayne: "One of the keys to our early success was keeping the songs simple. For Destroyer, I started with the most simple drum beat used a million times in rock music. I programmed the beat on my Akai MPC 2000 and started playing guitar to it. The opening riff came to me quickly. I wanted to make sure this song stayed in the Evil Disco realm so I turned on my Korg Electribe MX and came up with the synth bass line for the chorus. I love the lyrics on this song. I imagined a person who destroys the mood where ever he/she goes."
