We've all heard the stories of hip-hop thugs and moguls hanging people out of windows or off of balconies 20 stories of the ground as a bargaining tactic. Rihanna says that Jay-Z used that cliche to convince her to sign a contract.
After a successful audition for Jay-Z and other Def Jam execs, the then 14 year-old R&B singer says that Jay-Z gave her the ultimatum. "The audition definitely went well. They (Def Jam) locked me into the office till 3am," she said according to Contact Music. "And Jay Z said, 'There's only two ways out. Out the door after you sign this deal.
