Winehouse's father in-law, Giles Fielder-Civil, told BBC Radio Five Live that fans should send his son and daughter-in-law a message. "Perhaps it is time to stop buying records. It's a possibility, to send that message."
Amy's father disagrees. He told the Victoria Derbyshire show "It won't send any message to Amy at all, unfortunately. If I thought it would, it would be a great idea," he said. "The only way out of this is not sectioning them, not locking them up. At some point they are going to reach rock bottom."
