Subterranean Plug

. (PR) MTV2 announced today that it is set to air a special edition of Subterranean on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 1 AM EST featuring highlights from the 2007 PLUG Independent Music Awards Show. The awards show will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at New York City's Irving Plaza. This special Subterranean episode will feature artist videos by the PLUG winners and interviews with Stephen Malkmus, Silversun Pickups, and Tokyo Police Club. Comedian David Cross will host the event as well as provide online segments for MTV2.com.

The PLUG Independent Awards Show features performances by Stephen Malkmus and his band, The Jicks as he accepts the PLUG Impact Award for his prolific career in Pavement, Silver Jews and his solo work. In addition, PLUG Award nominees Silversun Pickups, El-P, Deerhoof, and Tokyo Police Club will also be featured as performers.
