(PR) The Silencers, one of Scotland's top rock'n'roll bands, is planning a surprise reunion in tribute to their cancer-stricken guitarist, 'Cha Burns'. The original mid-80s line-up of 'The Silencers' will stage a rare one-off gig to raise cash for Burns.

The group which is comprised of singer Jimme O'Neill, bassist Joe Donnelly and drummer Martin Hanlin, will perform a rare one off benefit concert at the ABC in Glasgow on 9th February 2007.

It's hoped founder member, Burns, 48, will be well enough to play. He joined in 1985 and recorded five albums and hits 'The Real McCoy', 'I Can't Feel It' and 'Painted Moon'. The Silencers toured with U2, David Bowie and Simple Minds.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
