(PR) Vancleave, Mississippi rock foursome CastorTroy has signed to Rock Ridge Music and will be releasing its forthcoming EP, Patience Above, nationally on August 7, 2007. The EP was recorded at Rivergate Studios in Gautier, Mississippi with Chris Henderson, guitarist for 3 Doors Down, behind the boards. Patience Above was mixed and masterd by Geoff Ott (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains) at London Bridge Studio in Seattle. Says Henderson: Castor Troy is a hard working rock band. Its evident in their music. They are one of the few bands out there that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and go after what they believe in.Says CastorTroy lead singer Chris Scott: As we embarked on our musical journey, we had the dreams but never thought it would take us to this level. Being signed to Rock Ridge Music is a dream come true. A chance to work with some of the greatest music industry individuals is something we are looking forward to. Mississippi has produced some really great talent, and we just want to live up to everything and follow in the footsteps of the greats from this area. We have a great chemistry and a strong work ethic, and we are ready for everyone to know just who CastorTroy is. For a band that formed just before Hurricane Katrina hit their home area, CastorTroy has already had its brushes with the big time; the band has already been found worthy to share the stage with Staind, Saliva, Hinder, Three Days Grace, Blackstone Cherry, Revelation Theory, and Egypt Central, and they played before more than 10,000 at last year's CPR Fest X in Biloxi, Mississippi after winning the Bud Big Stage Search III band competition. Already, theyve released a full-length CD (Where Do I Go From Here) and a live DVD.
