(PR) Messengers, the second record to drop from the minds and hands of Lancaster, PA quintet August Burns Red is more than just a collection of 11 raging metal songs that ravage the ears of their listeners with technical skill and immense passion. The record is, in fact, not only a musical collaboration, but also a lyrical one, where every member of the band contributed to the lyrical content with their own thoughts, ideas and messages. Hence the records intriguing title.

We all contributed to the lyrics on this one whereas on Thrill Seeker our singer did all the writing, Brubaker explains. We all offered different ideas. Each of us wrote a set of lyrics and wed pick a song we thought theyd fit with. It was a collaboration rather than one person.

AUGUST BURNS RED and DecoyMusic.com proudly announce that MESSENGERS, the bands JUNE 19th Solid State Records release will be exclusively streamed on the website, starting at 12:00am CST on June 18th and wrapping up on June 21st at 11:59pm CST. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania based hardcore act will be bringing their crushing sound across the states all summer long. AUGUST BURNS RED have toured along the likes of As I Lay Dying, Terror, Chiodos, Between the Buried and Me, Bleeding Through, Haste The Day amongst many more. [the CD hits stores this Tuesday (6/19)]
