Ford & Fitzroy Piano's Residents

06/28/07
.
(PR) After a year of creating music together and a lifetime of loving it, Ford & Fitzroy will take a three-week residency during the month of July at the Lower East Side hotspot, Pianos (158 Ludlow Street). Their attendance will debut at the infamous music venue that has spawned many a career, on Thursday, July 12. The residency continues on Thursday, July 19 and Thursday, July 26. Each show begins at 10pm.

With influences such as The Flaming Lips, Pavement, Phil Spector and Neil Young, Ford & Fitzroy use these legends and their enthusiasm for catchy 50s melodies to weave their eclectic new sound. The New York City based band got their name from Van Morrisons song Madame George, an eight minute opus from the album Astral Weeks, one of the major influences on the bands song writing. - Click here for the Full Story
