Modern Artists Management's Les Borsai, who manages Burning Brides and oversees the Modart imprint, presented the band with a business model in which they could retain control over how "Hang Love" was marketed, promoted, and sold, and yet reap the majority share of the profits. "Major label deals are no longer structured to develop artists," said Borsai, "and many bands get dropped after their first album, saddled with a huge debt to the label. This arrangement will allow the Brides to make music and make a living." Caroline's sales staff will pound both the digital and brick-and-mortar pavements, and the band will tour extensively.
