(antiMusic) Pete Doherty is lucky he lives in the UK where he can get arrested every other week for drug offenses and run free to get arrested again without spending a day in jail. If he lived in New York he'd likely be in jail. We say this because that's exactly where Foxy Brown will be spending the next year after a judge sentenced the rapper for violating her probation. Contact Music reports: The 28-year-old was told by a New York judge that she had acted as if her celebrity status placed her above the law. Brown – real name Inga Marchand – was found to have missed anger management classes and failed to have stayed out of trouble since assaulting two nail salon stylists three years ago At a hearing last month, Judge Melissa Jackson jailed the singer until yesterday's court appearance, and the rapper told the court: "Being in jail humbled me in a way I never imagined. I realise that this is not where I want to be." But Judge Jackson countered that her apology came as "too little, too late". - more on this story
