"We are very excited to be a part of the Year of the Sun family," says Of The First Born Sun's Jamie Schoch. "We are big fans of the bands on the label already, like Whats He Building In There, Dear Black Diary and Farewell to Freeway and have shared the stage with them on many occasions, which made our decision to sign with them even easier. Everyone in the band can't wait to get this album out to the public and we are happy to release it on Year of the Sun. It should be an excellent experience for all of us."
Of The First Born Sun have been creating waves in the hardcore and metal scenes utilizing a lethal combination of blistering breakdowns and metallic fretwork which has earned them high profile spots opening for the likes of Emmure, Arise and Ruin, Legeia, Endwell, Farewell to Freeway and A Perfect Murder. In addition to their blistering live show the band has been quickly developing an online cult of fans. Two of their songs, "Paper Caskets" and "Playing Dodgeball with a Shotgun", were both recently selected as GarageBand.com's Metal Track of the Day earning them monstrous downloads in the online world.
