Following on the heels of 2006's critically-acclaimed In The Arms of Devastation, the band's latest slab of blastbeaten death metal is some of the sharpest, most visceral material of the Montreal-based crew's nearly 20-year career.

Once again, the production process was supervised by the band's guitarist J-F Dagenais, and the mix was pounded out by the one and only Jason Suecof (Chimaira, Trivium, Bury Your Dead), so it's appropriately hefty and punishing. Joining in for some special guest shredding on Prevail is Pat O'Brien of Cannibal Corpse, Overkill's Dave Linsk, and, of course, Suecof himself.

Over the next week, the band is winding down a successful tour with Shadows Fall and labelmates Arsis. They'll then have May to recharge their batteries before headlining a handful of Canadian dates and joining The Black Dahlia Murder and Vader on the massive Summer Slaughter tour, which kicks off on June 20th and churns through the US for a month.
