(Press Here) Natalie Walker has announced a fall club tour in support of her sophomore album With You (Dorado Records/ Fontana/ Universal), scheduled for release on August 19th. Walker will hit both the East and West Coast starting September 6th and is sure to impress all with her enchanting mix of pop and new wave melodies. Born and raised in Indiana, vocalist Natalie Walker is an artist whose lilting, lush voice and lyrical reveries reflect a life journey of determination and self-discovery. With musical influences ranging from Alison Krauss to LCD Soundsystem, Jewel to Beth Orton and Bjork, the former lead singer of downtempo electronic group Daughter Darling delivers her own unique, haunting sonic landscape that is at once organic, ethereal, elegant and entrancing.
With You comes on the heels of last year's Urban Angel, Walker's debut that has become an indie favorite among electronic fans and garnered significant critical acclaim. Director Sofia Coppola heard a Thievery Corporation remix of Walker's single "Quicksand," fell in love with it, and included it in the trailer for her film Marie Antoinette. KCRW were early champions of Urban Angel and have been showing similar support for With You. While in LA on her club tour this fall, Natalie will stop by the KCRW studios in Santa Monica on Monday, October 6th for a live acoustic set on Jason Bentley's 'Metropolis' show.
Armed with a voice that softly swirls and induces chills just the same, the release finds Walker reuniting with the Brooklyn-based production duo Stuhr (Mya, Nicole Atkins) who oversaw production on her debut. From tracks like "Monarch," "By and By" and the first single, "Over and Under," With You firmly establishes Natalie Walker as one of the electronic genre's brightest new stars.
