(PR) Glen Campbell's new studio album, Meet Glen Campbell, now available as a limited edition vinyl LP, will be released on CD and digitally on Tuesday, August 19 by Capitol Records/EMI. Campbell is actively promoting the album with national TV, radio and online appearances, including ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Entertainment Tonight," "Acoustic Café," NPR's "World Café" and "Fresh Air," and "AOL Sessions," and a special album release celebration concert in Los Angeles.

In a legendary music career that spans more than five decades, Glen Campbell has achieved chart-topping, platinum-selling pop and country success singing everyday tales of life, love, work and heartache. For Meet Glen Campbell, his inspired, dynamic new studio album, the music icon has returned to his longtime label home, Capitol Records.

On Tuesday, August 19, the album's CD and digital release date, a new music video for Meet Glen Campbell's "Angel Dream" will be exclusively premiered by Yahoo! Music. The nationally syndicated TV program "Entertainment Tonight" will air an interview with Campbell, and Campbell will perform a special concert at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, presented by KCRW, 89.9 FM. Tickets for the concert are available from Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com).

On Friday, August 29, Campbell and his band will perform a song from Meet Glen Campbell on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (12:05am ET/PT; 11:05pm CT).

On Wednesday, September 3, NPR's "World Café," carried by nearly 200 public radio stations across the country, will broadcast an exclusive performance by Campbell and his band.

National Public Radio's (NPR) "Fresh Air," heard on more than 450 public radio stations across the U.S. and on Europe's World Radio Network, will broadcast an exclusive interview with Campbell (airdate to be announced: www.npr.org).

For his new album, Glen Campbell has reinterpreted and re-imagined both older and contemporary songs with his own signature vocal and guitar arrangements. A true musician's musician, Campbell's distinct guitar playing, along with the clarity and emotion of his powerful vocal performance, come together to give new life to the songs he selected for Meet Glen Campbell.
