(Music Radar) Axl got Kan'd. Kanye West would easily win the battle of biggest ego against Axl Rose but West's new album looks to be leading the battle for the top of the charts against Guns N' Roses as well. Blabbermouth reports: Early U.S. sales reports suggest that "Chinese Democracy", which was released through an exclusive deal with the Best Buy chain, might not be the blockbuster the industry had hoped for, according to The New York Times.

Sales figures will not be available until Wednesday (December 3), but early estimates put the first-week total at 300,000 copies (including a reported 25,000 downloads at iTunes on November 23 not counted towards the opening week for the Sunday release) roughly 50,000 more than the opening number registered by "Contraband", the 2004 debut from Velvet Revolver. [That being said, the album is expected to debut in the Top 5 in most markets around the world - find out how high they got and where right here]

Kanye West's new album, "808s and Heartbreak", will be No. 1 on next week's Billboard chart with a total that looks to be between 450,000 and 500,000.

What about across the pond? It looks like Flowers power is more potent than Roses there. Music Radar reports: The Killers' third album Day & Age looks set to take the Number 1 slot in the UK ahead of Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy. - more on this story
