The Top Tour news was released on Billboard.com today, and a special editorial section spotlighting Bon Jovi's achievements will appear in Billboard's annual Year In Music & Touring Issue, on stands Friday, December 12.
"The foundation of our success was and is touring," says Jon Bon Jovi. "Whether it was a night club or a stadium we played each show like it was our biggest show. Our fans have been the reason why a second generation now share in this great honor. We thank you all."
The band that has famously "seen a million faces and rocked them all," in fact played to twice as many on this tour over two million fans attended the 100 sold out dates on the Lost Highway World Tour, promoted by AEG Live.
Bon Jovi has set the bar for more than two decades as one of the most successful rock bands in the world. Globally, they have sold more than 120 million albums and performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans. The LOST HIGHWAY album was released in June 2007 and debuted at #1 around the world. The band's 2005 album, HAVE A NICE DAY, featured the Grammy-Award winning song, "Who Says You Can't Go Home," and also fueled one of the top-selling tours of 2005.
