Slightly Stoopid Week: Day 4

(antiMusic) Most people will look at a band named Slightly Stoopid and automatically write them off. That would be majorly stupid, as these guys have a lot to offer as their brand new album, 'Slightly Not Stoned Enough To Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid,' shows. They're carrying on the Reggae tradition proudly into the 21 century. With their new album hitting stores this week we hear from the band about some of the songs. Here they are with today's songs:

"False Rhythms" and "Sensimilla" - MILES: We've been jamming those two songs for years. 'Sensimilla' is a chant-along song with the whole crowd it's a fun song for all of us to play. When we were down there [in Miami's Circle House Studios], we had a nice little open jam session. Making 'False Rhythms' and 'Sensimilla' together was cool, because it only took a few takes of playing live, and the songs were done. We got to keep the flavor of the live show in it. That whole vibe in South Florida, we were able to capture it and put it into those jams.

"London Dub" - MILES: "London Dub" was the same kind of thing as "Circle House Blues" we got to mix some recordings from the house with the live studio version. We did like a live version in the studio, and then we took a piece that Kyle had recorded at the house. So it was pretty dope - it had the creations from the house and studio all in one.
