36 Crazyfists Find Biggest Success Post Roadrunner

06/05/2008
.
(antiMusic) This story just goes to show you that a ferret is far mightier than a roadrunner. Especially a roadrunner that hangs at the mall: 36 Crazyfists have cracked the Billboard charts for the first time in their careers with the powerful new album, The Tide and Its Takers. The band's first offering on Ferret Music debuted at #155 on the Top 200, as well as #4 Heat Seekers, #23 Hard Rock, and #11 Indie Albums. The Tide and Its Takers marks the highest first-week sales EVER for the band.

The Tide and Its Takers also charted in Canada and the UK. The album came in at #66 on Canada's Alternative Albums chart. The Tide and Its Takers landed at #83 on the UK's National album chart, as well as #2 (second only to Linkin Park) on the Rock Chart and #6 on the Indie Albums chart.

36 Crazyfists will be making their first appearance on a major US festival tour when they play this summer's inaugural MAYHEM Festival. The festival features Slipknot, Disturbed, and Dragonforce headlining, with 36 Crazyfists landing a spot on the Hot Topic Stage. The tour kicks off on July 9th in Seattle, WA.
