Injured Fan Sues Korn, Mudvayne, Radio Station and Live Nation was a top story for this week. Here it is again: (Rocky Mountain News) Nicole LaScalia was knocked to the floor of Magness Arena and trampled by concertgoers moments after the heavy metal band Mudvayne took the stage. The Thornton waitress had gone to the KBPI-FM (106.7) "Birthday Bash" on March 8, 2006, eager to see Mudvayne and Korn.

She left in an ambulance, her leg crushed. Those details emerged two years later in a lawsuit LaScalia filed against radio station owner Clear Channel Broadcasting, concert promoter Live Nation and the University of Denver, the site of the concert. She also sued members of the bands.

Injuries continue to pose legal problems for the businesses that host and promote rowdy shows and raise questions about who is responsible. Many cases involve festival seating - or general admission - areas. - more on this story
