(Metal Underground) Joe Satriani has achieved legendary status as the premier electric guitarist with 13 solo albums, three platinum DVDs, and the mega-successful G3 tours. On April 1, 2008, Satriani kicks off the release of his 13th solo album, entitled "Professor Satchafunkilus And The Musterion Of Rock" (Sony/BMG), with the first of 11 nationwide "GC Sessions" at the Guitar Center in Boston, Mass. The much-anticipated "GC Sessions" will feature question-and-answer segments, autograph signings, and best of all, live performances by Joe Satriani. Following the album's release, Satriani will embark on a worldwide tour, kicking off April 30 in Lisbon, Portugal before hitting the continental European market, Australia, South America, and finally returning to the U.S. in the fall of 2008. - more on this story
