Britney Spears may have to stand trial in Los Angeles for driving without a valid license after all. A three-judge panel in Los Angeles has denied a motion by Spears' attorney seeking a delay in the trial and a possible reduction in the charge. more

R. Kelly has won a $3.4 million award against his former tour promoter and is asking a Los Angeles judge to help him collect. Kelly's company claimed that Rowe Entertainment and owner Leonard Rowe failed to pay him in full for shows scheduled for late last year and early 2008. more

The Flaming Lips will be taking over the streets of Oklahoma City on Halloween. Their March of 1,000 Flaming Skeletons parade will take place on Saturday, October 25th. more They have also announced screening dates of their highly anticipated feature film 'Christmas On Mars' throughout the US. details

Duran Duran have announced the dates of the final leg of their tour in support of their most recent album 'Red Carpet Massacre'. The band will close out the tour with 11 shows in North America this December. more

The Supersuckers will play a special 20th anniversary show on November 29 at the Showbox Theater in Seattle, and they will be joined by the reunited Green River, featuring members of Pearl Jam and Mudhoney. more

Not content with just selling Kiss branded cycling shorts, Frisbees and red wine, the band have added Vans Sk8-Hi shoes to their online shop. The shoes feature all four members (two faces per shoe), as seen on the cover art of four albums they released in September 1978. more

Doomriders and Disfear will team up to release split 7" EP this fall. The release will be a joint effort between Disfear's own label, Disfear Records (European territories), and Doomriders' label home, Deathwish Inc. (all other territories). more

Birmingham indie punk trio Johnny Foreigner are creating a huge buzz in the US. The band is set to unleash their angular art-pop stateside at CMJ Music Marathon, and have just released their debut album Waited Up Til It Was Light on Nettwerk. (You gotta love press release hype. It was of course followed by not one, but two quotes from Pitchdork. )

Time And Distance have recently signed to Not Alone Records. The group will be hitting the studio this January with Rob Freeman (Cobra Starship, Hit The Lights, Houston Calls) to record their third release.
