3 Doors Down Returning To The Road

10/10/2008
.
(PR) 3 Doors Down have rescheduled a series of U.S. shows from their hugely successful [lame ass corporate tour name sponsorship removed] Summer Tour, the last leg of which was postponed due to Brad Arnold's bout with laryngitis. 1

6 shows were postponed in all, with rescheduled dates being added in December and this coming January. The band was urged to postpone the remainder of their September dates on Doctor's orders so that the tireless vocalist could properly rest his voice. The new December dates will also include on the bill San Diego band Switchfoot and Nashville Rockers American Bang.

Shows have already been rescheduled for December, with the band setting up pre-sales for the rescheduled dates. Tickets from the originally scheduled Orange Beach, AL and Pikeville, KY shows will be honored on their new dates. Fan club members will have access to a special pre-sale that will start on Monday afternoon. They will receive notification via the fan club about this pre-sale. Additionally, all other fans that purchased tickets previously will have access to a pre-sale for the rescheduled shows that will start on Wednesday for a limited time only. All necessary refunds can be obtained at point of purchase. In an attempt to further invite people to the shows, the band will be offering a select number of reduced priced "fan appreciation" tickets that will be sold on a first come-first serve basis. The band has also added a newly scheduled date on December 6th in Biloxi, MS at the Hard Rock Hotel that will benefit the band's charity, The Better Life Foundation.

"We are excited to get back on the road," stated Arnold. "It's where we belong, and where we feel the closest to all our fans, who have been so supportive and loyal to us throughout the years."

The band is also heading across the pond for a series of shows in the UK and Europe throughout the month of October and early November. The group will end their tour of Europe with a sold-out show in front of 6,000 people in Helsinki, Finland. It will be the first time rock fans will get an opportunity to see the band perform in the historic capital. Along with a very special first comes a very special last. 3 Doors Down earn the distinction of being the last band to perform at the famed Yankee Stadium in New York City after their appearance at the 2008 State Farm Home Run Derby on July 14th.
