(PR) Toubab Krewe kicks off an extensive fall tour this week as they prepare to release their sophomore album, Live at the Orange Peel. The new album captures their outstanding 2008 New Year's run at the Orange Peel in their hometown of Asheville, NC."We've been developing our material live, as we tour, so recording our second album on stage was a natural way for us to capture our creative energy," says guitarist Drew Heller. "Live performance allows unexpected moments to occur -- audience and band energies interact in ways that can't be foreseen or simulated in a studio."
All of the songs are previously unreleased and continue to blend American rock 'n' roll with the West African musical traditions the band fell in love with on their travels to Mali, Guinea and Ivory Coast.
