(Webster and Associates) Dolly Parton will make her national TV debut for her Backwoods Barbie album with performances of the newly-released single "Shinola" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (Friday, September 19) and the Ellen Show (Monday, September 22). These performances will advance another round of U.S./Canadian tour dates of her successful and critically acclaimed "Backwoods Barbie World Tour." The new leg begins October 17 in Florida and continues through middle November.
"Backwoods Barbie"--the album's title track--is featured as one of the songs for the "9 to 5" musical, for which DOLLY wrote all the music and lyrics (marking yet another career first for the unstoppable legend). The show premieres at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles September 20 (previews began September 3) and hits Broadway April 23, 2009 at the Marquis Theatre.
