Metallica is one of nine nominees that the hand picked panel will vote on. Only five will make the cut. The metal masters are joined by the Stooges, Jeff Beck, Chic, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, War, Run-D.M.C., and Bobby Womack.
The induction ceremony will take place on April 4th at Cleveland's Public Hall and unlike past ceremonies from recently years which were hosted at the ubber rockin' Waldorf Astoria in New York, this affair will apparently be open to the public. No word if it will be "black tie" or not.
