Bonnaroo 365 Gets Phishy

04/23/2009
.
(PR) Bonnaroo is very excited to announce the second installment of Bonnaroo 365, which will feature streamed footage from Phish's The Clifford Ball DVD box set.

Bonnaroo 365 is a program by which fans can enjoy the festival experience year round. The program debuted with the The Raconteurs complete live performance from Bonnaroo 2008.

The second installment will begin on May 11th, 2009 with a full set from Phish's The Clifford Ball DVD box set. Classic footage of the second set of night two from the now legendary "fabled fan favorite" performance will be streamed for free on Bonnaroo's website. The Clifford Ball event holds a great deal of significance for Bonnaroo as it, along with the band's subsequent festivals, were essential sources of inspiration for Bonnaroo's creation. Bonnaroo 2009 will be Phish's only festival performance of the summer.

In addition to the streamed video, four quintessential live Phish songs will be available as free audio downloads as part of Bonnaroo 365 - one will be available to everyone, while the other three can be downloaded by Bonnaroo Community members only (membership sign-up is free). The songs that will be available are:

Bathtub Gin (8/17/97 - The Great Went, Limestone, ME)

Gumbo > Sanity (8/15/98 - Lemonwheel, Limestone, ME)

Piper (7/18/99 - Oswego Country Airport, Volney, NY)

Sand > Quadrophenic Toppling (12/31/99 - Big Cypress Seminole Reservation, FL)

Phish's new 7-DVD The Clifford Ball box set documents the landmark concert event that drew more than 70,000 fans to upstate New York in August 1996. The Clifford Ball was the first of seven, two-day spectacles the band staged, including The Great Went a year later, followed by Lemonwheel in 1998. The Clifford Ball was held in Plattsburgh, New York, at a decommissioned air force base, where Phish played two marathon concerts and delivered a one-of-a-kind experience for fans.

The box set features nine hours of concert and event footage (with six complete sets of music recorded Live August 16 & 17, 1996 and bonus features including Phish's extended soundcheck, its late-night flatbed truck jam and a 30-minute featurette with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and more. This regionless DVD set includes options for both stereo and 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound Audio (remixed and mastered from the band's multi-track tapes). 4:3 aspect ratio.

Bonnaroo will take place June 11 - 14, 2009 on the same beautiful, 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles southeast of Nashville. This year's performers include Phish (2 sets), Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, David Byrne, Wilco, Al Green, Snoop Dogg and many more. The festival continues to make a strong impact on the American music industry. It has served as a launching pad for such popular artists as Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Robert Randolph, My Morning Jacket, Ray Lamontagne, Matisyahu, and many others. A creative and cultural mega-success, Bonnaroo has also featured a staggeringly diverse range of world-class acts such as Bob Dylan, Metallica, Neil Young, Radiohead, Willie Nelson, The Police, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Tool, Wilco, The Dave Matthews Band, James Brown, The White Stripes, The Dead, Regina Spektor, Widespread Panic, Death Cab For Cutie, Elvis Costello, Amadou and Mariam, Beck, Against Me!, The Black Crowes, Alison Krauss, Bright Eyes, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Earle, Jurassic 5, Modest Mouse, The Mars Volta, Common, Burning Spear, the Flaming Lips, among so many others.
