Photos must be uploaded to [email protected] by September 20, 2009 along with their name and contact information. Shortly after, three finalists will be selected.
Fans will vote for the grand prize winner, who will be announced in late September. The winner will receive a special autograph from Ms. Tucker, a copy of her new CD, My Turn, a Saguaro Road Records flash drive and will also be showcased on www.saguaroroad.com.
Released June 30th on Saguaro Road Records, Ms. Tucker's album features her rendition of classic country songs that she grew up on. True to her legendary feisty style, Ms. Tucker chose to record songs that were originally sung by men, transforming them into anthems full of sass and strength. To promote My Turn, Ms. Tucker was recently profiled on NPR's Weekend Edition, appeared on Larry King Live, GAC, CMT, Huckabee, Fox and Better TV while Parade magazine, USA Today, Billboard, Country Weekly, CMA CloseUp and the Associated Press all touted her return after a seven year break from recording. The Boston Globe declared that "Lovers of retro country will rejoice over this" and the Philadelphia Inquirer agreed, saying "It's hard to imagine a more well-executed tribute."
At the age of 13, Ms. Tucker hit country music's Top 10 with "Delta Dawn," and went on to build one of country music's most enduring careers, winning a Grammy award, two Country Music Association awards, two Academy of Country Music awards, and three CMT Awards. 23 of her albums have landed in country's Top 40 since her debut, and she has amassed 10 #1 country singles, 33 have reached the Top 5, and 41 have reached Top 10 status.
