Kottak Partners With Skid Row's Phil Varone For a Benefit Khristmas

Kottak is very happy to announce that they have teamed up with fellow musician, Phil Varone (Saigon Kick, Skid Row), to benefit the teen boys in residence at the Clear View Treatment Center in San Bernardino, California.
According to Kottak drummer, Athena, "We knew we wanted to do a gift drive to benefit a children's charity as part of our Kottak Khristmas party on December 19th at the Cat Club in Hollywood; we just didn't know which charity we were going to donate the gifts to yet."
So in late November, Kottak went forward with their plans and announced that fans would be able to get into the Kottak Khristmas Party at the Cat Club for free if they bring an unwrapped gift to donate to children in need.
Athena continued, "Recently our guitar player, Johnny Lucas, told us he saw that our friend, Phil Varone (Saigon Kick, Skid Row), posted on Facebook about his work on behalf of the Clear View Treatment Center. Johnny said Phil was asking for help to provide Christmas gifts for the 30 underprivileged teen boys being cared for at the Clear View Treatment Center.
"That was all we needed to hear! I got in touch with Phil right away and told him we wanted to help him out by donating everything we collect at our show Saturday night.
"Phil was super excited to hear this! He told me that the Clear View Treatment Center is a charity that is near and dear to his heart and every year he works to raise donations to give the boys there a happy Christmas. Unfortunately, the downturn in the economy forced Phil's main sponsor to drop-out this year so having Kottak and their fans step in to cover the gap is going to make a big difference for these boys!"
It has also been announced that Phil Varone will not only be in attendance at the upcoming Kottak Khristmas party at the Cat Club on December 19th, but he will be performing with Kottak as well! Athena says that she will relinquish her sticks and stool to Phil during their set so he can handle drum duties during the Scorpions song, "Rock You Like A Hurricane".
"This is going to be such a fun show!" stated Athena. "So many of our friends and fans have already told us they are going to be there; I can hardly wait to start the party! And the fact that our party can also benefit these teen boys and brighten their Christmas just makes it that much more special."
