Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland tells Spinner.com that the band is "almost finished" recording its Don Was-produced new studio album. "There will probably be 11 songs on the record and we have nine completed already," he says. more

The fan plan to Rage Against the Simon Cowell Machine a.k.a. his TV talent show in the UK appears to be working. Concert for missing Metallica fan announced: A hard rock and heavy metal concert will be held to raise money to help in the search for missing Virginia Tech student, Morgan Harrington. The concert will be held on Saturday, December 19th at the Canal Club in Richmond - more than two months after Morgan Harrington was last seen at a Metallica concert in Charlottesville. more

Called 'Here Lies Love', the album documents the life of Imelda Marcos, the former First Lady of the Philippines. So we're not sure just how true to life this album will be but it should be a shoe in for a Grammy, maybe even the Nobel Peace Prize.
