The five-day Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp gives music lovers - regardless of their musical ability - a once-a-lifetime opportunity to move from spectator to stage under the guidance of multi-Platinum recording artists. The next session of Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp will be held April 29th through May 3rd in Hollywood, CA. Campers will share the limelight with such legendary rockers as Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), Steve Lukather (Toto), Bruce Kulick (KISS), Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Mark Hudson and Alan White (Yes). (Additional rock stars and special guests will be announced.) Campers can also purchase a "spouse package" if they'd like to bring along a friend or family member.
At camp, participants form separate bands, each guided by a different rock star "counselor." Campers will hone their skills by jamming daily with their idols and be transformed into rock stars in their own right. Working with legendary engineer/producer Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix), each band will record an original song at the landmark Capitol Studios, which has hosted recording sessions for everyone from Frank Sinatra and the Beach Boys to Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers. On closing night, the bands will play a concert at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. "The Whisky was Mecca," Ray Manzarek once said, who played there with The Doors in the club's early days. And it's still Mecca for the many bands that come through Los Angeles.
