Great South Bay features four stages: two Main Stages, a Cultural Stage, and a "Childrens Stage".
The three Main Stages will present a diverse lineup of musical artists including: Long Islands own "Eddie Money", Southern rock favorites: The Outlaws, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Jam-funk creators: Galactic Funk, contemporary folk-rocker Sonya Kitchell and folk legend Tom Paxton, Blues guitar wizard Sonny Landreth, jam favorite Ryan Montbleau, and over 35 more artists in the rock, jam-band, folk, blues, country and funk genres, in addition to some of Long Islands finest rising stars.
Bands will perform continually throughout the three days.
And new for '09: Late Night Madness, Adult Comedy Hour � featuring three comedians on Friday & Saturday nights from 11p � midnight!
Past performers have included: the Grateful Deads Mickey Hart, rock icons Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Ritchie Havens, blues legend Savoy Brown, Railroad Earth, the subdudes, and gospel-blues queen Odetta in one of her final performances.
The Great South Bay Festival is also dedicated to "excellence in educational, fun, children's entertainment" and features the "KIDZONE" presenting top level children's performers. Plus, musicians, a Pirates Cove, a Patriots Area featuring a "live-in," Civil War Encampment, hands-on educational activities, and rides.
An arts & crafts market, a delicious food court featuring a diverse selection of hot & cold food & beverages, a "Brews-Tent" serving local crafted and imported beers, and a wine garden,�complete the picture.
Times: Friday, July 10th: 4PM � 11PM, Saturday the 11th.: 11AM � 11PM, and Sunday the 12th.: 11AM � 9:30PM.
Tickets are just $15.50 online, $20 at the Door, and children 10 & under are free.
