Viewed over 16,000 times on Metal Injection alone (along with it, a large boost in traffic which came close to crashing the site), the video was the subject of a 25 page flame thread on Lambgoat which was started soon after the video went live on Monday afternoon, deleted Tuesday morning and shortly thereafter spawned several other flame threads all across Lambgoat and beyond in the days that followed.
Since Monday afternoon, OCEANO guitarist, Andrew Mikhail has had to deal with numerous insults, prank calls and threats regarding the video. Here's his take on it and why they made the video: "It wasn't meant for everyone to understand, it was a funny shot at those "ever-so-serious" about trying to put us down for doing what we love. If sitting online talking s*** on humans living their lives the way THEY want is what YOU love, that's fine. To each their own, right? We just wanted to lighten up the racism & ignorance of the online world plague also known as "internet warriors" or "keyboard toughguys" have left on sites LIKE lambgoat or blabbermouth by showing how ridiculous people can really be behind a computer screen and reading some statements aloud. We honestly don't care what bad things people say about us, because those people obviously don't know what were about. But there are a good amount of people out there who DO get what were about and they understand that we weren't SERIOUS; and we can't express how happy we are to have them with us you guys rock and to the "haters" well, we just can't win 'em all c an we?"
