(antiMusic) A few weeks back we asked you to tell us which artists you wanted us to include in the Day in Rock. We're about a quarter of the way through the list and will continue adding artists ever week, but we wanted you to know that 90% today's Quicks and over half of the full Day in Rock came from these suggestions! If you don't see your submission, hang in there. We are working on it. Now here are today's not so quick quicks:

Due to overwhelming demand, Deftones have decided to add a second show to benefit Chi Cheng November 20th at the Avalon. You can purchase tickets here

Them Crooked Vultures, aka Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones, have confirmed November 17 as the release date for their eponymous debut and to celebrate the news, the band has put together a special little Halloween treat for those hungry for a little more Vulture, featuring a new song, Gunman. Check it out here along with some U.S. dates!

In related news, FMQB reports that Them Crooked Vultures will release a free song via iTunes on Tuesday. It's called "Mind Eraser, No Chaser." more

Speaking of supergroups, Chickenfoot is doing one final date for the year and for the tour before taking a break for the holidays. The gig is set to take place at The Joint in Vegas on Dec 5th more

Blues and rock harmonica great Norton Buffalo, who spent the past 32 years as a member of The Steve Miller Band, has passed away October 30 at the age of 58 after a short bout with cancer. more

Nickelback has been forced to cancel the first date of its Australian tour by one day due to production delays, which simply means that the tour will not be ready to kick off as planned on November 10th in Brisbane at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The sold out show on Wednesday, November 11th at Brisbane Entertainment Centre will take place as scheduled. more

Dave Matthews Band will kick-off their 2010 tour with a return to Europe for eighteen shows planned throughout February and March. DMB toured Europe briefly in June shortly after the launch of Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Many of the songs from the new album have now become part of DMB's live performance and will be heard for the first time by our European fans. more

Rise Against are playing the last night of Q101's Twisted Christmas at the House Of Blues with the mighty Street Sweeper Social Club along with American Taxi on Thursday December 17th. more

Johnny Plague (vocals, Winds Of Plague) is a pretty intimidating individual and this is exactly what makes him a perfect candidate to scare the living s*** out of people while getting paid for it. Johnny spends every Oct. chasing people in a demented clown mask at the famed Knott's Berry Farm Halloween Haunt. In a recent interview, Motorhead's iconic frontman Lemmy confirmed that the band will be entering the recording studio in February of next year to begin work on their next studio album. This will be the follow up to 2008's 'Motorizer' album. more
