(NME) F**ked Up are going to re-record the classic charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'. [A 1984 song co-written by Bob Geldolf released under the Band Aid moniker that featured a bevy of the pop stars of the day (Sting, U2, George Michael, Culture Club, Duran Duran etc) and became the biggest selling single in UK chart history. The song was released to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia.] Using the $20,000 they got from winning the Polaris Prize, the Canadian band are going to release the single featuring a host of artists. "[We already have] David Cross, members of Vampire Weekend, TV On The Radio, Broken Social Scene, the GZA, Bob Mould, No Age, and Yo La Tengo all confirmed."
